High gastronomy meets Naxian traditional products at Barozzi restaurant in Naxos town, creating a special dining experience for the guests. The same combination of past and present is presented in the restaurant’s space, marrying memories of Venetian architecture with the Cycladic aroma of the island.
It is housed in a stone-built early 20th-century building, the ground floor of which is renovated and reused for the needs of the restaurant. The exterior shell is preserved and highlighted by acquiring an atmosphere of an old mansion hosting small exhibitions of artworks.
The outdoor courtyard with the main bar welcomes the guests, while the large wooden pergola with strong geometric shapes is one of the dominant elements of the area. The use of stone and wood in aged textures and shades creates a warm canvas for furnishing in contemporary design. Plants and carefully designed lighting offer a cozy visual effect in the space, adding to the sense of familiarity to the visitor.
